Casa de Los Amigos, located approximately 40 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, is in the colorful Mexican town of La Penita de Jaltemba. La Penita and the neighboring village, Rincon de Guayabitos, are well known Mexican resort towns that are nestled between the beautiful Sierra Madre mountains and the blue Pacific Ocean.
The Moorish-style villa, designed by well-known Puerto Vallartan architect, Salvador "Cache" Perez, was built in l986 as a Bed and Breakfast and now is available as a vacation rental as well as a bed and breakfast inn. The villa offers the ultimate in relaxation in a tropical setting. Each comfortable guest room, located on the second and third floors, has its own private balcony, custom tiled bathroom with shower and tub, queen-size beds, and a sweeping panoramic view of the palm lined sandy beaches while the warm Pacific is at the doorstep.
The sun drenched patios and terraces are favorite places for reading and relaxation complimented by the brilliant bougainvillea flowers and palms that grow on the hillside location overlooking the sea.
A ten-minute morning walk on the beach into La Penita is a good place to start exploring the town and the other beaches nearby. Inexpensive taxi service is available and makes visiting other towns and beaches very convenient.

Rosalie Hope, the owner and innkeeper, has her own casita on the property and will endeavor to be your 'personal concierge' with information and assistance. Additional staff include Martha Elena Alvarado Perez, the housekeeper and cook, a native of Mexico and a resident of La Penita. She is married and has two teenage children. Also, our caretaker, Chuy, and his family, who live on the property year round and are here to help whenever needed.
